It’s not guaranteed the way a scheduled appointment is, since it depends on what’s already on the truck’s route that day, but we keep flexibility built into most weeks specifically for these calls.
How rush scheduling actually works
When you call about a rush job, we ask for the stump’s approximate diameter, your general location, and how urgent the timeline actually is — a real estate closing tomorrow gets treated differently than “I’d like it done this week if possible.” We check which crew is closest to your address that day and whether the job fits in an open slot without bumping an already-scheduled customer. If it fits, we confirm a window and head over; if same-day isn’t possible, we’ll usually still beat our normal queue and get you in within a day or two rather than the standard one-to-three-week wait.

A 15-inch stump that would normally run $275-$300 typically totals $375-$425 with a same-day rush fee added. Next-business-day requests that aren’t true emergencies often avoid the rush fee entirely if they simply fit into an already-loose part of the schedule, so it’s worth asking rather than assuming the surcharge applies.
