Trees we grind most in Maple Grove

Maple Grove is a younger suburb, built mostly from the 1980s onward, so most of what we grind here isn’t ancient growth — it’s original developer plantings hitting 30-40 years old. Green ash and Norway maple make up a huge share of the boulevard trees from that era, and both are now showing their age or dying from disease. Spruce and pine windbreaks planted around Elm Creek and Rice Lake-area farms from before development still turn up as stumps occasionally. Newer subdivisions closer to Arbor Lakes tend to have younger honeylocust and linden, so those jobs are usually smaller-diameter work.

Elm Creek Park Reserve is the big green anchor on the north side of the city, and homeowners along its edge sometimes have mature cottonwood or oak stumps from trees that predate the park’s development.
